Road trip
Well erika and I are off to snowbird (see link to the right). Last night we ran out of gas across the street from the gas station. Pretty funny, the first time that has happened since high school. The car is acting up I hope I can get home from work ok. Erika sent me an amazing email today it really cut to the heart and helped to put things in perspective. Here is an excerpt:
"I am reminded of the phrase "forgiven debtor." We are indebted to your job at (insert place of employment), NOT vice versa. I am convicted that we do not altogether take the responsibility of your job seriously. We are too quickly forgetting the agony experienced as we waited with anticipation upon hearing that you were hired. All the mean while, we feared that our parents would put the ax on our engagement. And in His perfect timing the job was provided...But, not just any job. Rather, the job that you desired, prayed for, and hoped for...And rightfully so, it is a perfect fit; a God ordained fit! Let us not say "my God shall supply all of our needs," if we are not grateful for the ways in which He is bringing about His promise. Apart from our wretched flesh, our hardships are few. "
This was just what I needed to hear today after getting frustrated at work about things not going the way that I had planed! Oh ya, if you go to my sisters school Vote Crystal for Freshman representative! The choice is CRYSTAL clear. Enjoy memorial day weekend. Thank God for the men and women that have fought and those who have given their lives for our freedom.
